Calling Two or More

I've received a trusted go ahead from Becca to "high-jack" her blog tonight. You don't even need to know me, because this isn't about me. It's about our friend, sister, neighbor, daughter, wife, mother and fellow believer that we find in Becca.

We all know that she will embark on a new leg of this journey in motherhood tomorrow morning with the transerring of more of her and Matt's embryos. And although she is going into this moment with a mighty faith and sure confidence in whatever the outcome - - I believe with all my heart that it warrants prayer.

Not one prayer, but many voices lifted high with our blog hands layed firmly on her shoulder. I believe that where two are more are gathered, God honors our collaborative effort. And I believe in the divine and powerful touch of hands layed upon a fellow sister or brother in Christ.

I know that before her very first transfer - the one that gave Matt and Becca the blessing of Tobin, their pastor and elder team came to their house the night before and laid hands on them. They prayed mightily for a long time and Becca told me that she cried "hot tears" and felt the Holy Spirit's presence consume the room and her heart.

Today, God has given us a new outlet of communication and why shouldn't we use it for prayer?! Please envision yourself praying over Becca AND Matt as you leave your comment tonight or in the days to come. My friend says that prayers can be retroactive too, so even if you read this in a week to come - still pray through her comment section. I know that God will honor our voices lifted and that Matt and Becca will be blessed.

"hot tears" once again Stefanie. You are such a sweet sister to me. I am so greatful to God to answer the call of my heart with a bounty of children. My empty cup spills over. These children frozen and unfrozen are my greatest evidence that God hears us when we call.

Father God,

Thank you so much for Becca. You gave her the talent of wisdom, and words, and a love for justice. I cherish her as you do. I see her pure heart, just as you do.

As I write here, in the dark, my heart yearns for you to hear my whispers:

Please lift her up tomorrow as the doctors place more of her little miracles in her body. I pray that she would remain steadfast in her knowledge that you are in control and know the plans you have for her and Matt.

Let her leave that experience with a peace that settles her soul, with the heavenly knowledge that all her babies on in your hands.
And she is one of your babies too.

I especially have felt the need to pray for her to remember that no matter what feelings come from this journey - - there is no condemnation for those that believe in Christ Jesus. She is FREE to feel, as you have made us to be feeling people.

I ask you to speak to Matt and Becca clearly tomorrow when it comes to making decisions. Guide their every action. Give Matt assurance that she is in the best hands.

Bless them.

Amen

Oh, Becca, I am praying for you. I'm getting choked up thinking about the magnitude of what this week might bring. God is good. He knows your family, your WHOLE family. All of your children he has called by name. You were such a blessing to me when I was struggling with infertility. I pray that you would have peace and that you would feel God's presence as you journey through this time.

I'm late to get in on the prayers, but I am praying that God have his hands all over Becca, Matt, and the embryos this morning.

Father, I pray for Matt and Becca, tomorrow and in the days to come, as they search for your will for the embryos. Lord, you know how very loving and responsible Becca and Matt are and always will be. I ask you Lord to help then walk through this part of their family journey, and bless them with your presence and care. You, our creator and redeemer, hold them in your hands and let them rejoice in your power, love, and grace. Thank you in Jesus's name, Amen.

Love, Julie Harper

This is my first time reading yoru blog (thanks, Christi!) and geesh... I will be praying for you too. My husband and I are also dealing with infertility (endometriosis as well) and we're just in the beginning stages of figuring it all out. After a post I wrote yesterday, Christi directed me to your blog and I'm sooooo glad she did. I will be following your journey and keeping you in my prayers.

I will be praying for you and Matt. It is so comforting to know that we can trust God with everything. And I do trust Him that all things will work out for His glory when it comes to your (and Matt's) babies. Bless you sweet sister in Christ.

Prayers from Illinois too. Everything I think to write sounds trite and like it would come across wrong, but my heart swells and my eyes fill as I pray for more miracle babies for your family.
