We took the kids to the park yesterday when I was remembering that I needed to post a new open house. So even though I felt very "stockerish" I snapped a few of my very lovely houses on my street. So take a look and vote for your favorite. Maybe I'll leave a basket of cookies on the winners porch (and a paper bag full of poop on the loser's)
You'll notice that I am a sucker for porches. It's the first impression of the home and a porch is like a warm friendly smile that says, "Welcome".
So here are the contestants. Lets start with the craftsman houses.
House # 1
House #2
House #3
House #4
Victorian House #5
House #6House #7 (in an effort to save my sanity and to get the milk Tobin has been requesting for 15 minuets I am giving up on my attempt fit in "Colonial House #8" between the house pictures) WHY can't I will the cursor to go where I want it???? I am counting on all your intelligence to image where house #8 is.
And just went you thought all we had to look at was charming houses, we also have the picturesque red bridge to use to cross the creek.

I vote for house #4. Thanks for the note. I saw your kids and was looking for you, but no luck!
Too many beautiful houses to pick just one!! I love the area around the church. You'll have several wonderfully kept up beautiful houses and then one that you'd expect to find a "do not enter by order of the fire marshall". Your street has more well kept houses than any other, though (I think!) Great pics! Thanks for the tour!
Who gets the prize??
-the people who pick the winning house...
or
-the owner of the house??
We think the people who pick should... and Angela & Lindsay are waiting for some snickerdoodles!!
So... We choose house # 23... it is gorgeous and the porch is spectacular.
Dear Anonymous (ahem Ang and Linz), Their is no house #23. You have here by been disqualified. No snickerdoodles for you!
I very much like #4 and #8.
My vote is for house #8, although all of the craftsman houses are good times. #8 reminds me of the Father of the Bride house...the actual Father of the Bride house is in Pasadena, a mile and a half from our apt. and a couple of blocks from my boys school...it's fun to drive by and look at it and think of Annie Banks.
The houses are gorgeous Becca. Sad for you to leave them.
Can I please pick the bridge? I have lots of good memories crossing over it on sunny days headed to "your park". I always feel like I have stepped back in time when strolling over it and love that I know about the short cut that others don't!
I think I do a lot of really great thinking on walks and to me it's all about those special paths. I often look back and mark the time in my life by the paths that I tread often - taking rainwalks with my mom as a tiny girl, rollerskated as a bigger girl, jogged as a teenage/college girl out to keep up with all the skinny girls around me, walked Gus in my very first neighborhood as a married woman, then walked slowly, being pregnant, around my country farm roads, pushed my first stroller and baby visiting the neighbors sheep, then double stroller after baby #2 and now, NO time to walk!
You will remember that path so fondly! We walked it before babies and now look at Matt walking it with three!
I pick your house! So I come over in the morning on Matt's day off for my prize of a non-fat, sugar-free, vanilla latte? He makes the best. North, South, East and West, your house is the best! Love you Becca!
If I could live in any of those houses, I would want house #4. I can only dream about living in a house that big, and maybe even having a real laundry room with cabinets and countertops to fold clothes on.....oh, someday! Maybe not till I get to my mansion in heaven. But wait....there will be no laundry in heaven!!!! That should be added into Revelation 21:4 - "there shall no longer be any death, there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain".........or mountains of laundry to fold, or dirty dishes in the sink!
I'm a Craftsman girl too. I love house #4 out of all the Craftsmans shown. What I really can't wait to see though is YOUR new Craftman that will be built!
I vote for house #4. I like the deck on the second floor.
~danielle :)
I've always LOVED #4!!!
Thanks for coming over and playing yesterday, it was fun to see everyone! Let's do it again!
I kid you not...the house you posted right above the cute bridge looks exactly like the house my mom grew up in my Laurylhurst (sp) park. Oh....it's so super cute! Thanks for sharing.
jenny
sorry ..i can't type...it's not my park...I was meaning to say by the park...so there!
I vote house #2! Thanks for the neighborhood tour. Sometimes we deliberately drive around the block after leaving church so we can eye our favorite houses and get some ideas for ourselves.
You definitely have a picturesque neighborhood.
I've always loved 4 & 8. If I had to pick one, it'd be 8.
Are those the shoes we lent Phoebe?
I am finding more and more matches here:) and thus will send them with you on Thursday.
I'm with Abby, I love your house. It is so beautiful. The kids that come with the house sweeten the deal even more.
Oh....I just love House #4...Don't you just want to go and play hide and seek in that house!?!?!
House #4 for me, too! Can I choose peanut butter cookies? You make the BEST!
I'm really like house #4! You have such a cute neighborhood! I adore old charming houses like such. I'm a big fan of front porches too. by the way you have such cute kids.
I pick your house as well! It's like a gingerbread house or something from a fairytail. Then, you go inside and see the love that has gone into every inch - it's the sure winner.
you need my address to send those cookies??
