I was going to say a dollar too. Funny, my little brother just lost a tooth and proudly told us that he got 4 cents from the tooth fairy. Which made my sisters and I have to explain inflation to our Dad - but the best part was that he actually gave my brother 4 quarters! So then we told him that he needed to teach Josh the difference between the coins!
I'm impressed with all you tooth fairies! You're having fun but not over the top. That's great. When my kids were little, many years ago, we gave them 1 quarter, 1 dime, 1 nickel and 1 penny. That was for the normal tooth loss situations. If something was traumatic or overwhelming, sometimes they got more :-)
Tobin is adorable!! Man tooth!! Tell us what the tooth fairy ended up giving him! I would guess $1 is what Sawyer will get...if the my sweet little 6 year old would ever lose a tooth!
So glad that we've got time before any fairies head our way...when I was a kid it was a quarter a tooth. And yes, I walked to school both ways (uphill and in the snow).
We did number of coins for their age... random dimes, nickels & quarters... the occasional gold dollar coin. 6 years=6 random coins (from the bottom of my purse!) Love, Dawn
We've decided to surprise our son with a different amount for each tooth. He's just learning about coins and the value of each one. We thought this might help him learn to add "cents" together depending on how much the tooth fairy left under his pillow. (This idea will at least work for the first several teeth he loses. After that...we'll just have to see how generous the tooth fairy is...)
I've had to tell Luke that he has super strong teeth...I got that story from Abby, I think. He has been waiting ever since he turned six. He checks his teeth daily. The other day he told me he was going to stop brushing so they would fall out!
I don't think so buddy!
He may get a lego goody under his pillow along with a dollar for being so patient :)
I've often been asked why my blog is named, "Glory Laine". My middle name is Laine and it suggests to me quant path, and paths remind me of a journey and I blog to record my personal journey. Then I wanted something spiritual to show that I am on this journey with God's help. I debated between mercy and glory. Mercy lane sounded like a nursing home where people go to die, so Glory Laine it is.

1.00 for the first 4, 1.50 for the next round... 2 bucks for molars...
That's what the tooth fairy does around here anyway.. :)

Hmmm... We did $5 for the first tooth because it was really special, but have done $1 for all the rest.
How in the world can this boy be old enough to be pawning his teeth off on the tooth fairy already?
Dear Tobin,
Are you having fun? I just wanted to know if you got 3 money, or 4 or 5? I'm having fun. Wish you have a safe one. Goodbye...hugs and kisses.
Love,
Daphne
I got Mary Kay nail polish one time. The tooth fairy must have ran our out dollars!
Wow Becca, I kid you not, his voice sounds deeper already! He is so grown up now!
P.S. Elsa has a loose tooth also, same spot. I'm sure she's anxious to cross that threshold and become a big kid like Tobin.
SO CUTE
How cute.
