Pam loves her husband. She has been such an example of how to meet the needs of your spouse and then to watch as he worships the grounds she walks on. Their relationship is something that can take my breath away.
She plans and prepares to make memories for her family. Like two Christmases ago when she put on a Cabin Christmas for us with handcrafted ornaments, and homemade gifts for everyone.
She is spunky. She drives a little red Mini Cooper like she is Charlize Theron in Italian Job. Her taste in movies are in two specific categories, Anne of Green Gable's -ish movies or James Bond-ish movies all else is a waste of time.
I am just in awe of this little woman with amazingly big talent that she shares freely with her family.
Proverbs 31:10 (the Message)
A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds. Her husband trusts her without reserve, and never has reason to regret it. Never spiteful, she treats him generously all her life long. She shops around for the best yarns and cottons, and enjoys knitting and sewing. She's like a trading ship that sails to faraway places and brings back exotic surprises. She's up before dawn, preparing breakfast for her family and organizing her day. She looks over a field and buys it, then, with money she's put aside, plants a garden. First thing in the morning, she dresses for work, rolls
up her sleeves, eager to get started. She senses the worth of her work, is in no hurry to call it quits for the day. She's skilled in the crafts of home and hearth, diligent in homemaking. She's quick to assist anyone in need, reaches out to help the poor. She doesn't worry about her family when it snows; their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear. She makes her own clothing, and dresses in colorful linens and silks. Her husband is greatly respected when he deliberates with the city fathers. She designs gowns and sells them, brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops. Her clothes are well-made and elegant, and she always faces tomorrow with a smile. When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say, and she always says it kindly. She keeps an eye on everyone in her household, and keeps them all busy and productive. Her children respect and bless her; her husband joins in with words of praise: "Many women have done wonderful things, but you've outclassed them all!" Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades. The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God. Give her everything she deserves! Festoon her life with praises!
Happy Birthday Pam!
PS Just can't get enough of Pam-cakes? Stef also wrote a lovely tribute here.

I'm so glad you wrote one too, since I didn't even make a dent ~
We're so lucky! Can you imagine...only two girls could marry into that family and it was US!
Can't wait for the real celebration next weekend!
Oh yes you have a WONDERFUL mother n law!!!
Happy birthday PAM!!!
I can't wait to show Jeremy your tribute. He loves the Riddle parents! Before I knew you and Matt very well, I knew of Pam Riddle as the mom who brought out the bull/fog horn (or something of that nature) to the guy's baseball games and cheered louder than any other mother there, per Nanc Green. A woman after my own heart, I tell you.
Happy Birthday Pam Riddle from the Greens!! Jen
I also love my mother-in-law. She has been my friend since Matt went into the military and I would go visit her every other week. I still hang out with her on a regular basis without Matt there. It is good to hear someone else has a good mother-in-law
this was really sweet and so beautiful. you should print it off and give it to her unless she read blogs. its cool to know you appreciate her as a eal gift to have in your life. happy b-day pam!
Such a sweet tribute to a beautiful woman! Happy Birthday, Pam!!
What wonderful tribute! She sounds like an incredible woman.
I am also blessed with an amazing MIL!
What a lovely post about your MIL. I appreciate it so much, and how lucky your family is to have her. I do tire of hearing about how someone's MIL is 'awful' or whatever. You recognize her for the gift that she is. Too cool.
Okay, I'm being really patient...but missing you in blog world. What's new?
Wow and hurray!
NOw you can teach me to do something like this:)
Been missing you like crazy! Can't wait to see you this weekend and catch up and since it is M's day AND my b-day, we should get a little "sit and chat" time - don't you think?!!
